Part of a group of negatives taken for May 17, 1961, Arkansas Gazette article "In Summer, A Boy's Thoughts Turn to Camping," B1:3. Operated by the Young Men's Christian Association (YMCA) of Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas, Camp Clearfork is located on 140 acres in the Womble Ranger District of the Ouachita National Forest about 20 miles west of Hot Springs, Garland County, Arkansas and a half mile south of U.S. Highway 270. The Director of Camp Clearfork, Bill Yeatman, of Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas (left) and the camp's Superintendent Buck Moore are pictured beside a dam as they prepare the camp for the summer in May of 1961.
